The 2023 School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) has now been published. This is statutory guidance for LA maintained schools in England, although many academies and multi-academy trusts also comply with it.

The DfE recently announced that there had been an error in the calculation of the National Funding Formula (NFF) rates for 2024/25. 

The Government announced on 13 July 2023, that teachers will be awarded a 6.5% pay award with effect from September 2023, and to advisory points, with higher increases to parts of the Main Pay Range to reach a minimum starting salary of £30,000 outside London, with slight variations to the London pay ranges.

An uplift to the UIFSM per-meal rate has been announced. The rate will increase from £2.41 to £2.53 from the start of the 2023/24 academic year.
