Local Government Services Pay Agreement April 2024
The agreement was reached late on Tuesday 22 October 2024 on the 2024 pay awards for local government services (‘Green Book’) employees.
The pay award increase is £1,290 across all spinal points (up to point 43) on the pay scales and 2.5% on all other points and allowances.
This period covers 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Unite has refused to have its details included in the NJC pay agreement circular but the Constitutional requirement had been met which means the pay award can be implemented.

For Suffolk maintained schools we are working with Suffolk County Council to implement the pay award.
Teachers Pay Award September 2024
The STPCD has been published and this document will come into force on the 8th of November, following the completion of the praying period.
It is recommended that the teacher pay award is not implemented prior to this date.
The government has approved a 5.5% pay raise for teachers, and school leaders at all grades in England for the 2024-25 academic year.
Maintained Schools are obliged to comply with the minimum and maximum amounts to each pay range as set out in the STPCD.
