Outcomes Aims: to develop the skills and competence of experienced workers and sessional trainers to plan and deliver safeguarding training to school based staff. To build prior knowledge and experience To develop an understanding of adult learning theory and how to apply this To identify your own and others preferred styles of learning To demonstrate awareness of the emotional impact of safeguarding training and enable others through feedback to acquire new skills • To develop knowledge and expertise in safeguarding as a resource for schools and Schools Choice. Event Description Delegates will receive legislation and local safeguarding updates. After attending this session Delegates will be certified to deliver the Introduction to Safeguarding training within their school. Each delegate (T4T) will receive a complete Introduction to Safeguarding training package meeting statutory requirements endorsed by the local safeguarding children’s board; to be able deliver to all school-based staff.
