The Academies Accounts Direction for accounting periods ending 31st August 2023 has been published. There are no new requirements in the Accounts Direction, however ESFA have made some changes to provide clarification on existing requirements. These can be found on pages 5 and 6 of the Direction and page 3 of the model accounts.
As in previous years, a set of academies model accounts for 2022 to 2023 is available to support trusts and auditors with the preparation of the annual statements.
